Seller note:

The winning trend of the Sydney 47CRs is set to continue this year at Hamilton Island Race Week. Two, new yachts
keen for a win on debut will be competing in the Premier Cruising Division.
Sydney Yachts launched the Cruiser Racer range in July, 2004. The first Sydney 47CR Gomez, owned by Steve &
Mary Chiodo convincingly won the Premier Cruising Division that same year, on debut. It was then a case of déjà vu
in 2005, when John & Deb Balderstone repeated the glory with another win on debut, onboard Jem.
This year Paul Clitheroe & Peter Mooney will launch their new Sydney 47CR at Hamilton Island Race Week. It is
anticipated that four of these majestic yachts will be racing in the Premier Cruising Division. With this level of entries
it will be a win, win for the owners and their crew as they get the bonus of competing twice in the one division. First
against the other yachts in the fleet and second against each other, stay tuned for the result.

PROFILE OF THE NEW SYDNEY 47CR'S
Paul and Vicki Clitheroe were looking to step up to a larger yacht from their Beneteau 40.7 and liked the mix the
Sydney 47CR offered. Not only is it a strong performer on the race course but the large cockpit is perfectly suited for
entertaining family and friends.
Paul was impressed by the simplicity of the non-overlapping sails and asymmetric set up, it made the yacht easier
to handle and is definitely a lot safer for the crew. This new yacht will be based at the CYCA and will race with its
standard crew at Hamilton Island Race Week.
Peter Mooney, who previously owned the Sydney 38OD Obsession was looking to return to racing after a ten year
absence. Peter had a great experience racing his Sydney 38OD and was impressed by its quality and performance,
but he wanted to further develop his skills on a larger yacht. He chose the Sydney 47CR and has tailored the boat
for long distance and short handed racing.
This new yacht will be launched in May and will also be based at the CYCA. Peter plans to compete in the Melbourne
to Osaka Yacht Race in 2007 and is looking forward to racing this yacht in its first regatta at Hamilton Island Race Week.
