This New York 40, Jubilation, located in Bridgeport, CT is a real find.
Built by Palmer Johnson and designed by Doug Peterson for New York Yacht Club members as a one-design performance racer/cruiser class, these boats are still very competitive on the race course, with a PHRF rating in the low 90s.
Powerful upwind in a strong breeze, but equally capable of ghosting along in very light air, the NY 40 is well-suited for single-handing or extended cruising - with just a couple or family and friends she sleeps 8 adults in comfort.
Solid fiberglass hull means no worries this boat is strong and will remain strong. Only the deck is cored with foam, not balsa.
Accommodations feature private forward and aft cabins, head w/ shower, private  dressing area, large salon with 4 berths, nav station, full galley with stove & oven, 3 hanging lockers, roomy cockpit, cockpit shower, and swim ladder. The aft cabin has rare portlights port & starboard.
